Putri is recommended in IFLR 1000 for Highly Regarded Leading Lawyer in 2018, and Leading Lawyer in Financial and Corporate in 2017. Putri began her legal career in 2005 at Eversheds LLP, London UK where she trained and practised as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales with a specialisation in banking. Upon her return to Malaysia she was called to the bar in 2009.

Whilst Putri’s main area of focus is banking and finance, she remains active in other varied corporate exercises which include mergers and acquisitions, joint venture agreements and capital market transactions.

Within banking and finance, Putri features regularly in local and cross border deals acting for both lender and borrower for different types of financing structures such as project finance, shipping finance, acquisition finance and property finance. In addition, she also regularly advises on regulatory requirements of financial institutions as well as Labuan offshore structures. She is also known for her work on the formation and implementation of long term incentive plans for listed issuers.

Her experience includes advising on the financing in relation to the dual listing of a healthcare provider on the Malaysian and Singaporean stock exchange, which won several awards including Best IPO and Best Deal for 2012 awarded by international publications, and the structuring and implementation of the first recurrent and optional dividend reinvestment plan in Malaysia, recognised as the Best Corporate Finance Deal of the Year for 2011 by a major financial publication. In the area of project finance, she remains actively involved in infrastructure and energy projects which also includes the project finance of a petrochemicals storage facility that was awarded Petchem Deal of the Year and Asia Pacific Downstream Oil & Gas Award by international publications.
