Jasprit’s practice is focused on the structuring, negotiation and drafting of agreements for various infrastructure projects in Malaysia, Dubai, Bangladesh and Tajikistan which include coal-fired, gas-fired and solar photovoltaic power plants, heat-electric generating plants, waste heat recovery power plants, waste-to-energy projects, district cooling plants, electricity distribution systems and highway construction projects.

She has advised on and negotiated project agreements for one of Malaysia’s largest solar independent power production projects in the course of which she was involved in finalizing primary project agreements including the solar power purchase agreement (“PPA”), the engineering, procurement and construction contract (“EPCC”) and the operations and management agreement.

Jasprit also has dispute advisory experience, and has inter-alia opined on disputes under PPAs and EPCCs, and has amongst other matters assisted in the preparation and drafting of cause papers for a performance bond injunction.

She also has corporate and M&A advisory experience and has inter-alia advised on the acquisition of Malaysian software companies by a Japanese listed company, the acquisition and management of infrastructure assets by a Malaysian utility, acquisition of assets in a Malaysian medical company by Japanese acquirers, and the preparation of consortium and joint-venture agreements in relation to a coal-fired power plant in Bangladesh.
