Hairolnisah has undertaken various privatised projects in Malaysia, including the privatisation of toll roads, provision of water and waste-water services and projects undertaken based on a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) concept.

In the privatisation of the water services in Johor, Hairolnisah had played a key role in the privatisation agreement with the State Government of Johor. She was also involved in the migration of water services in Johor in 2009.

Hairolnisah has also been involved in the development projects based on PFI concept including the development of university campuses for Universiti Teknologi MARA, a teaching hospital for International Islamic University Malaysia, CIQ Complex, Media City project in Kuala Lumpur and the development of new office buildings for Cyber Security under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. Other notable government projects include the development of the Pan Borneo Phase 1 Highway in Sarawak and the privatisation of the Automated Enforcement System (AES).

Her other experiences include project financing, take-over, joint ventures and initial public offerings in Malaysia.
